Wellstone Democratic Renewal Club Potluck at 6:00 pm Meeting at 7:00 pm Humanist Hall 390 27th Street Oakland CA Tom Hayden - Progressives for Obama Join us for an evening with Tom Hayden to discuss how progressive Democrats can support Obama and at the same time advance our issues: a complete and prompt withdrawal from Iraq, a return to diplomacy and international cooperation, restoration of civil liberties, universal single payer health care, and speedy development of sustainable energy technologies and green jobs. Tom Hayden, along with Barbara Ehrenreich, Danny Glover and Bill Fletcher, founded Progressives for Obama, a national group thinking and writing about the role of progressives in an Obama campaign and Presidency. His talks combine fact-based analysis with practical suggestions for action. Tom was our guest last year to talk about Iraq, and filled the hall to overflowing.
